SHERMAN OAKS, LOS ANGELES, Sept. 19 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the death of a pedestrian found on the roadway and possibly involved in a collision with a vehicle in Sherman Oaks early Thursday.
A 911 caller reported a body on the roadway in the 5600 block of Hazeltine Avenue before a collision involving a gray van.
Upon arrival, responding officers located a gray van and the driver at the scene. At first sight, the van did not appear damaged, so officers continued their inspection. It was not immediately known if the officers found any damage.
Another vehicle and driver seen in KNN video from the scene was reportedly the person who had called 911.
The LAPD had no further details regarding this incident being investigated as a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
