Boogie Boarders Ride Flooded Roadway as Storm Pounds Southland

SHERMAN OAKS, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 20 (KNN) — Boogie boarders utilized their flooded neighborhood street in Sherman Oaks as their own wave adventure as the remnants of Hurricane Hilary, now a tropical storm, began pounding the Southland late Sunday morning.

One of the boogie boarders on the 13600 block of Oak Canyon, stated they were going to go to the beach Sunday, but “the earth brought the beach to us.”
