SANTA CLARITA, Calif., Nov. 10 (KNN) – Firefighters were battling a fast-moving brush fire in Santa Clarita near Sierra Highway and Golden Valley Road.
The fire was first reported to 911 operators shortly after 1:30 p.m. Sunday along Sierra Highway, south of Golden Valley Road.
Los Angeles County firefighters and Angeles National Forest crews worked to knock down the fire as it spotted across Golden Valley Road behind homes.
Fire investigators were en route to the scene at the time of this report.
The fire ultimately burned eight acres before forward progress was stopped late Sunday afternoon, according to sources. No structures were threatened.
