Burglary Suspect Crashes Van Between Semi and Wall, Ending Pursuit

Pomona, Los Angeles County, CA: The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Chino Hills deputies were in pursuit of a burglary suspect in a van when the van crashed between a semi and right side retaining wall on the eastbound 60 Freeway just before Reservoir Street.

The crash happened early Thursday morning, June 1, around 5 a.m. in the city of Pomona.

Sheriff’s deputies were able to take one suspect into custody. The driver of the semi and the suspect were both examined by firefighters and were cleared at the scene.

It is unknown at this time what the suspect allegedly stole.

Sheriff’s deputies had only the left four lanes open for eastbound traffic at the time of incident.
