The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division patrol units responded to a residential burglary “hot prowl” around 12:15 a.m., with suspects inside the occupied home in the 1600 block of Marmont Avenue.

Zauzig, on the phone with 911, reported that three armed males wearing face masks entered the house through a sliding door.

He was hiding on a second story balcony with his husband while on the phone reporting the incident.

When officers arrived on scene, they located a shattered glass sliding door and entered the residence.

All three suspects had fled prior to the arrival of LAPD officers.

In an Instagram post to his followers, Zauzig recounted the incident and thanked them “for all the love right now.”
