Burned Body Found Along 5 Freeway in Lincoln Heights

LINCOLN HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30 (KNN) — A body was discovered after firefighters extinguished a fire on an embankment near a freeway early Saturday morning.

Los Angeles Fire Department crews were dispatched to a small fire around 1:42 a.m. on the embankment between the southbound 5 Freeway and the North Broadway off-ramp in the Lincoln Heights area of Los Angeles.

Upon extinguishing the flames, crews discovered a burned body at the location.

California Highway Patrol Central Los Angeles officers, Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Division officers and LAFD Arson were on scene investigating.
