Candlelight Vigil Held For Veronica Aguilar, Beloved Teacher Killed by Man in Quartz Hill

PALMDALE, Calif., Jan. 17 (KNN) — Hundreds gathered at Anaverde Park in Palmdale Wednesday evening as family and friends of Veronica Aguilar lit candles in her honor. Several had fond memories to share that included coworkers, students, friends and family.

Aguilar, 27, was murdered on December 20, 2023 and her body was found burned in the trunk of a vehicle at a residence in Quartz Hill. The homeowner was tracked down by authorities, arrested for murder and booked at the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, according to sources.

Aguilar will be laid to rest in the week to come.
