Car Dealership Burglary Suspect Leads Police on Wild Pursuit

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15 (KNN) — An alleged burglary suspect led authorities on a wild pursuit through Hollywood overnight in a vehicle stolen from a car dealership that was left vandalized in the process.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division officers responded to a call of a burglary suspect around midnight at the Toyota dealership in the 6000 block of Hollywood Boulevard.

When officers arrived on scene, they located the suspect roaming through the parking lot attempting to enter vehicles.

The suspect had also allegedly broken into the business and vandalized the interior.

The suspect was able find a key to a vehicle and broke through the front gate of the lot prompting a police pursuit of the suspect through the Hollywood area.

Officers managed to PIT maneuver the vehicle several times, and at one point fired a bean bag into the vehicle while the suspect was stopped in a street before taking off again.

Eventually the pursuit was called off until Beverly Hills Police reported the vehicle and suspect were located at the Lamborghini dealership on in the 8400 block of Wilshire Boulevard.

The suspect was taken into custody around 2:00 a.m. Friday, according to sources.
