Car Plunges Off Interstate 5 in Castaic, Killing Driver

CASTAIC, Calif., May 15 (KNN) — A motorist was killed after their vehicle plunged off Interstate 5 and landed on Castaic Road north of Santa Clarita.

The crash occurred shortly after 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, when the car departed the roadway above and landed on a local road, according to initial information from CHP officers at the scene. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
