Car Shooting on 710 Freeway in East Los Angeles Leaves 1 Injured

EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif., Nov. 27 (KNN) — A shooting on the 710 Freeway in the area of East Los Angeles left one person injured and the vehicle with bullet holes.

California Highway Patrol officers with the East Los Angeles Area office responded to a gunshot victim around 12:20 a.m. at Los Angeles Community Hospital in the 4000 block of Olympic Boulevard.

The victim told CHP officers that he was shot on the southbound 710 Freeway to the 5 Freeway and drove to the hospital.

The victim’s Toyota Prius has three bullet holes in the back passenger side door and panel. It is not known at this time where the victim was shot.

CHP requested Caltrans to shut down the southbound 710 Freeway to the 5 Freeway interchange to search for evidence.
