CHINO, Calif., Sept. 13 (KNN) — California Highway Patrol officers with the Rancho Cucamonga Area office are investigating a traffic collision involving a stalled jackknifed semi that was blocking the slow lane of the northbound 71 Freeway at Grand Avenue in the city of Chino.
The CHP received a call regarding a semi that was jackknifed northbound 71 at the Grand Avenue exit shortly after midnight Friday morning.
A gray Honda Civic was traveling northbound on the 71 Freeway when it crashed into the stalled semi. Multiple other cars hit debris and a tire in lanes.
Firefighters and paramedics evaluated the driver, who struck the semi but was not transported. The drivers of the other vehicles that hit the semi’s tire were not injured.
