GLENDALE, Calif., May 13 (KNN) — A suspected DUI motorist was taken into custody Monday morning after driving the wrong way on the 134 Freeway through the city of Glendale.
The vehicle was initially reported traveling westbound on the 134 at the 2 Interchange in eastbound lanes at approximately 2:18 a.m.
Multiple callers reported the vehicle traveling the wrong way on the freeway in the fast lane. Key News photographers located the vehicle stopped on the 134 at the San Fernando Road exit in the number three lane.
The vehicle then continued westbound and was able to navigate to the correct side of the roadway after multiple near miss collisions. The vehicle was then relocated on the 134 at Forest Lawn. CHP caught up with the vehicle and was able to stop the driver at the 2 and Glendale at 2:40 a.m.
The driver failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody by CHP Altadena area officers.
