Child Airlifted to Trauma Center Following Near Drowning in Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA, Calif., Sept. 2 (KNN) — A child was flown to a trauma center by helicopter following a reported near-drowning at a Santa Clarita residence.

The incident was first reported to 911 operators as a drowning at a home on the 22000 block of Grayson Drive at 6:54 p.m. Sunday.

The child was transported by ground to Golden Valley Park, where Los Angeles County Fire’s Copter 22 had landed.

The child was flown to a specialty pediatric trauma center in Los Angeles.

This marks the third child who was flown from Santa Clarita Valley to a Los Angeles hospital in three days.
