SANTA CLARITA, Calif., Apr. 29 (KNN) — A small child feared drowned was pulled from a Santa Clarita neighborhood pool and flown to a pediatric trauma center in unknown condition Sunday evening.
The incident occurred at 5:50 p.m. at a condo complex pool located near Rue Crevier and Claudette Street.
Los Angeles County Fire Department Quint and Squad 104 responded with AMR ambulance and deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station to the location.
The child was reported by the 911 caller to be purple in color at the time. Shortly after first responders arrived, the child was reported to be breathing again.
Intersections between the pool and the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station were shut down to enable deputies to swiftly escort the ambulance to their station’s helipad.
Copter 14 landed as they arrived at the station. The child was whisked away in unknown condition.
No additional details are available at this time.
