CHP Pursuit of Stolen Van on Los Angeles Freeways Terminates in Boyle Heights

BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Sept. 19 (KNN) — The California Highway Patrol East Los Angeles Station officers were in pursuit of a stolen van on Los Angeles freeways shortly after midnight Tuesday morning.

The suspect initially entered the city of La Verne on the 210 Freeway at Fruit Street. The suspect exited the freeway at Fruit Street from the eastbound 210 Freeway and immediately got back onto the westbound 210 Freeway and continued onto multiple freeways.

CHP officers were able to deploy a spike strip in the path of the van on the southbound 605 Freeway and Ramona Avenue in the city of Baldwin Park.

The suspect continued on the eastbound 60 Freeway when the suspect exited, lost control of the van and crashed at 8th Street and Euclid Avenue in the city of Boyle Heights.

The suspect was taken into custody by CHP.
