CHP Recovers Gun at Motorcycle Pursuit Termination in La Puente

LA PUENTE, Calif., Apr. 22 (KNN) — A handgun was recovered by California Highway Patrol officers at the end of a motorcycle pursuit in the city of La Puente overnight.

The CHP attempted to stop a motorcycle in the city of Baldwin Park around 1:17 a.m. Monday, but the rider failed to comply and led CHP officers on a 45-minute pursuit through multiple side streets in the city of West Covina and the city of La Puente.

The motorcyclist tried to lose CHP officers in alleyways of residential neighborhoods and then entered a rear parking lot where he was taken into custody in the 1200 block of North Hacienda Boulevard.

CHP officers did recover a handgun on the rider and were observed thoroughly checking the weapon at the termination location.
