BAKERSFIELD, Calif., June 25 (KNN) — The California Highway Patrol is seeking the driver involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision that left a female pedestrian fatally injured late Sunday night in the city of Bakersfield.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to a hit-and-run vehicle versus pedestrian collision around 11:17 p.m. Sunday, at East California Avenue and Ogden Street in the city of Bakersfield.
First responders surrounded the critically injured patient as she was readied for transport. A Kern County firefighter was observed performing CPR on the victim as she was loaded into the ambulance. She ultimately succumbed from her injuries at a local hospital.
