Death Investigation Underway in Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA, Calif., Feb. 4 (KNN) — A suspicious death investigation is underway in the Newhall area of the city of Santa Clarita following a 911 call reporting a body found near an apartment complex stairway.

The incident was first reported shortly before 7 p.m. in the 21300 block of Nandina Lane, north of Dockweiler Drive.

Firefighters responded to the location as a “person down” call. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sheriff’s deputies at the scene stated Homicide Bureau detectives were en route.
