Deputies Locate Gunshot Victim, Corner Possible Suspects Inside Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital

Valencia, Santa Clarita, CA: A gunshot victim was brought to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia, inside a pickup truck riddled with bullet holes around 5 p.m. Thursday, June 1.

Deputies responded to the medical center en masse after reports of a possible shooter inside the emergency room waiting area.

Three people were taken into custody after an extensive search of the emergency department.

The gunshot victim’s condition is unknown at this time.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station reported that they are currently conducting an assault with a deadly weapon investigation and were at the hospital earlier in the evening.

The sheriff’s station said the area has been cleared and parties of interest have been detained pending further investigation.

“There is no ongoing threat,”according to the sheriff’s station. “The hospital remains fully operating.”
