Detectives Seek Suspect in Shooting Death of 17-Year-Old Male in Beverly Grove

BEVERLY GROVE, LOS ANGELES, July 9 (KNN) — A 17-year-old male was shot to death early Sunday morning in the Beverly Grove neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Division officers along with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a reported shooting at approximately 3:50 a.m. on the 8400 block of West 3rd Street near Orlando Avenue.

The shooting reportedly originated at Berri’s Cafe located on the south side of the street.

First responders arrived and were directed to three victims of a shooting, according to the LAPD.

The LAPD confirmed in a news release later Sunday, a total of three victims were found shot at the location; a 17-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene by LAFD paramedics and another 17-year-old male, along with a 26-year-old male were both transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center by LAFD personnel for medical treatment and are in stable condition.

The suspect was only described as a male Black, and last seen on foot heading southbound on Orlando Avenue from 3rd Street.

LAPD’s West Bureau Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect responsible for the death of the 17-year-old male and the injuries to the other two victims.
