Dispensary Security Officer Shoots at Robbery Suspects

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 1 (KNN) — A female security officer shot at would-be armed robbery suspects early Tuesday morning at a marijuana dispensary.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:25 a.m. in the 7100 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard in North Hollywood prompting a response from the Los Angeles Police Department.

Suspects in a dark colored sedan broke down the glass at the front of the business and attempted to enter the building. At some point during their robbery attempt, the security officer inside fired her weapon at the suspects.

The suspects then fled the location in an unknown direction. It is also unknown if the suspects were struck by gunfire.

There were no further details available at the time of this report.
