Double Shooting Leaves 1 Dead in Front of Apartment Building

AZUSA, CA, June 9 (KNN) – Two people were shot late Friday night leaving one dead in front of a multi-family apartment complex.

Azusa police officers and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to two victims shot in front of an apartment complex just after 11 p.m. on the 200 block of East Newburgh Street in Azusa.

One victim was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital in unknown condition. A second victim was pronounced dead at the scene by firefighters and paramedics.

There were multiple shell casings marked by officers in the street and on the sidewalk at the scene of the shooting.

It is unknown at this time if there is any suspect(s) description or if Azusa PD has anyone in custody.
