NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15 (KNN) — A man was left fatally wounded after a drive-by shooting on a street in North Hollywood overnight.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting in the 11300 block of Hatteras Street at approximately 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
According to initial information at the scene, one victim was shot in the chest by a drive-by shooter. Arriving officers located the victim and observed multiple shell casings on the ground. The LAPD secured the area with crime scene tape and continued their search for evidence.
Officer Cervantes, a spokesperson for the LAPD, told KNN that the victim was a male Hispanic in his 40s who was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but later died.
There is no suspect information, and it’s unknown if the incident is gang-related, according to Cervantes.
