Shortly after 12:30 a.m., Los Angeles Fire Department personnel and police officers responded to a vehicle collision involving a single-family home located in the area of Reseda Boulevard and Rosita Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters and officers found a vehicle well-involved in fire with exposure to another vehicle in the yard of the residence. The home was unoccupied at the time of the crash.

Officer Miller, spokesperson for the LAPD, said the driver was arrested for felony DUI. An ambulance was requested to the scene, but it is not clear at this time if it was for an injury to the driver or a possible passenger of the vehicle.

A neighbor in the area said he heard a loud “bang” from his house, then came across and saw a car on fire. He stated that he saw two people get out of the vehicle and sit on the sidewalk.

LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
