Driver Flees After Collision With Parked Vehicles Leaves Passenger Trapped

WINNETKA, LOS ANGELES, July 16 (KNN) — A driver of a vehicle involved in a traffic collision Sunday night, fled the scene leaving behind a trapped passenger in the wreckage.

The traffic collision occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on the 7500 block of North Corbin Avenue in the Winnetka neighborhood within Los Angeles. A single vehicle collided with two parked vehicles trapping the passenger.

The driver of the vehicle that collided with the parked vehicles fled the scene on foot leaving the trapped passenger.

Los Angeles Fire Department crews extricated the trapped victim in approximately 30 minutes. The condition of the patient was not immediately known.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
