BRENTWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7 (KNN) — A driver fled the scene of a rollover crash on a 405 Freeway off-ramp late Sunday night in an unincorporated area of Brentwood, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP and Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to an overturned vehicle that crashed on the southbound 405 Freeway to the eastbound Wilshire Boulevard off-ramp with reports that it was on fire.
Upon arrival, they found one pickup truck on its side with fire showing. Firefighters quickly doused the flames.
According to a spokesperson for the CHP West Los Angeles Area office, the driver of the rolled-over 2001 Chevy Silverado truck had fled. No one was found at the scene, and there were no witnesses. The vehicle was not reported stolen.
The southbound 405 off-ramp at Wilshire Boulevard was closed for an unknown duration.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
