Driver Flees Scene of Vehicle Crash Up Pole

Oxnard, Ventura County, CA: An unusual single-vehicle collision occurred when a vehicle crashed up onto a pole without breaking or downing the pole early Saturday morning, Feb. 18.

Oxnard Police officers responded to a call of a single car into a pole around 3:12 a.m. on Ventura Boulevard just west of Cortez Street in the city of Oxnard.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a sedan upright on a power pole.

The driver managed to self-extricate from the precariously leaning vehicle, and fled the scene prior to police arriving.

There are no further details at this time.
