Driver Killed in Head-On Crash into Tree

Irwindale, Los Angeles County, CA: A driver was killed in a head-on crash into a tree early Saturday morning, Mar. 25, around 12:39 a.m.

Irwindale Police Department officers and the Los Aneles County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision with one person trapped at North Irwindale Avenue and Central Street in the city of Irwindale.

Once officers and firefighters arrived on scene, they located a Honda sedan into a tree with one person trapped inside the vehicle.

Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to cut the doors off the Honda and extricate the driver from the vehicle.

Firefighters and paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.

The cause of the collision is unknown at this time.
