Driver Trapped After Vehicle Slams Into Tree on Freeway in Hawthorne

HAWTHORNE, Calif., Nov. 15 (KNN) — A vehicle struck a tree between the westbound 105 Freeway and Crenshaw off-ramp leaving the driver trapped.

The single-vehicle crash occurred shortly after 1 a.m. Friday in Hawthorne. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and worked to extricate the driver from the wrecked vehicle.

Paramedics transported the patient in unknown condition to a local hospital.

No lanes were blocked as a result of the crash. The CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
