BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES Jan. 4 (KNN) — A driver was trapped after their vehicle slammed into a hydrant and pole in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles early Saturday morning.
Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Division officers and the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a solo-vehicle crash shortly after 2 a.m. at the intersection of North Soto Street and Valley Boulevard.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they located a sedan that had crashed into a power pole and hydrant, with the driver trapped inside the wrecked vehicle.
The driver was extricated and transported in an unknown condition to the hospital by LAFD paramedics.
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power was requested to the scene for the hydrant and downed pole.
