Lancaster, Los Angeles County, CA: A violent traffic collision Tuesday night involving three vehicles and a suspected DUI driver, left one person dead and one trapped inside a mangled vehicle.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies from Lancaster Station responded to the intersection of West Avenue L and 20th Street West in Lancaster just before 9 p.m., June 6, for a traffic collision involving three vehicles.
Upon arrival, LACoFD personnel reported two victims trapped inside one of the vehicles. One patient was freed from the vehicle and transported to a local area hospital in critical condition. The passenger inside that vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Drugs or alcohol may have played a roll in the collision as deputies on scene administered a series of field sobriety tests to one of the drivers involved.
The driver was observed handcuffed beside a deputy’s vehicle. No further information is available at this time.
