Dump Truck Overturns When Raised Bed Slams Into Overpass

ONTARIO, SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, June 21 (KNN) – A dump truck traveling with its bed raised, was getting onto the eastbound 10 Freeway at Holt Avenue in the city of Ontario when it crashed into the overpass and flipped on its side.

The dump truck was empty at the time of the crash early Wednesday morning. The driver of the truck was assessed by firefighters and cleared at the scene.

It is unknown if the driver was aware the bed was up or if it was a malfunction that caused the bed to raise.

California Highway Patrol had the on-ramp closed at the time of the incident.
