HESPERIA, Calif., Dec. 15 (KNN) — On Friday, Dec.13, at approximately 11:24 p.m., CHP officers, rescue personnel with the San Bernardino County Fire Department and the Victorville Fire Department responded to a traffic collision with fire on Interstate 15 South just north of Joshua Road.
According to CHP Logs, a good Samaritan on the scene attempted to pull out the lone occupant of the burning vehicle but was unsuccessful due to the vehicle’s locked doors.
The vehicle was quickly engulfed in flames, and the occupant was pronounced deceased upon arrival by SBCoFD.
CHP information indicated that the vehicle had collided with the back of a semi-truck, causing it to burst into flames immediately.
The collision is under investigation by the CHP Victorville Office.
