Fatal Shooting of Man Found in Pomona Alley Under Investigation

POMONA, Calif., Jan. 20 (KNN) — The Pomona Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a man found in an alley overnight in the city of Pomona.

Pomona police officers responded to the alley off Claremont Place and East Holt Avenue regarding a male down around 3:14 a.m. Saturday.

Arriving officers found a male suffering from a gunshot wound at the location. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

Pomona PD is now investigating what led up to the fatal shooting. Officers did locate a shell casing not too far from the body.

Pomona PD has not released any further details regarding the ongoing homicide investigation.
