VENICE, CA, Sept. 4 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide detectives are currently investigating the overnight fatal shooting of a man in Venice.
LAPD’s Pacific patrol officers responded to a shooting around 12:30 a.m. Monday at 5th Avenue and Broadway. Upon arrival, officers were directed to the victim, a 34-year-old Black male, on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Detective Supervisor Samuel Marullo with LAPD’s West Bureau Homicide who spoke with Key News Network at the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his gunshot injury.
“At this time we don’t have a suspect description,” said Marullo.
Marullo said if anybody saw or heard anything that could be helpful to the investigation, a call to West Bureau Homicide at (213) 382-9470 would be appreciated.
