Female Fatally Wounded in Harvard Park Shooting, Suspect in Custody

LOS ANGELES, June 10 (KNN) – A female succumbed to gunshot wounds after a shooting in the Harvard Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles early Saturday morning.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call of a person down at 65th Street and Harvard Boulevard around 3 a.m.

When units arrived on scene, they requested backup from the Los Angeles Police Department for possible multiple gunshot victims.

LAPD 77th Division responded and found a female down at the intersection next to a sedan suffering from an unknown number of gunshot wounds.

The female was pronounced deceased at the scene and a suspect was reported to have been taken into custody.

There are no further details at this time.
