Fiery Crash Into Pole Leaves Driver Dead in Culver City

CULVER CITY, Calif., July 25 (KNN) — A driver was killed in a crash into a pole involving fire late Wednesday night in Culver City.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol’s West Los Angeles Area Office and the Culver City Fire Department responded to a vehicle versus pole collision shortly before 11:30 p.m. on the Slauson Avenue off-ramp from the eastbound 90 Freeway.

A white pickup truck had sideswiped an SUV before crashing into a pole and catching fire.

The driver and sole occupant inside the pickup truck was pronounced deceased at the scene. The occupants inside the SUV were uninjured.

There are no further details at this time.
