Fire Engulfs 2-Story Apartment Unit, Residents Evacuate

Pomona, Los Angeles County, CA: The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Pomona Police officers responded to an apartment fire around 1:43 a.m. Tuesday, Mar. 14, on the 700 block of North Gordon Street and West Pearl in the city of Pomona.

Pomona PD officers were the first on scene and immediately evacuated everyone from the two-story apartment unit.

LACoFD arrived on scene and found heavy smoke and fire showing from the building.

Firefighters achieved knockdown within 30 to 45 minutes after the call came out.

A female and male were assessed by firefighters on scene and cleared.

It is unknown at this time how the fire started.
