Firefighters Battle Blaze Engulfing Semi in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Dec. 31 (KNN) — The Kern County Fire Department was battling intense flames consuming a semi-truck in Bakersfield Monday evening.

A semi fully involved in flames was reported around 6 p.m. just off Highway 65 and Famoso Road.
The male driver and passenger were able to exit the cab of the semi without injuries.

The type of cargo the semi was carrying is unknown at this time.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
