Firefighters Battle Greater Alarm Commercial Structure Fire in Downtown L.A.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, June 15 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched to a reported fire in a commercial building in the downtown area of Los Angeles that quickly escalated to Greater Alarm status.

Firefighters arrived to the area of the 800 bock of South San Pedro Street (address tentative) to a commercial building with flames through the roof. Firefighters were assigned in defensive firefighting operations as they battled the heavy flames, reported LAFD.

The fire involved at least three units in a 150′ x 100′ one-story row of commercial businesses, according to the fire department. The fire escalted to Greater Alarm status.

No injuries were reported. An update will be added shortly.
