HOLLYWOOD HILLS WEST, LOS ANGELES, June 12 (KNN) — Firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department extinguished an attic fire overnight in a home in the Hollywood Hills West neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The LAFD responded to a reported structure fire shortly after 2:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of North Mt. Olympus Drive. Firefighters confirmed there was an attic fire in a single-story single family dwelling.
Firefighters covered furniture and belongings with plastic in the living space below the attic fire to minimize water damage. Crews also cut holes in the roof and breached the ceiling to gain access with hose lines above and below, reported the LAFD.
The flames were extinguished in 44 minutes by 32 firefighters at the scene, according to the LAFD.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
