SYLMAR, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 12 (KNN) — A grass fire was spotted overnight by a Los Angeles Police Department patrol unit in the area of the 14800 block of Foothill Boulevard in the Sylmar neighborhood within the San Fernando Valley.
The LAPD requested Los Angeles Fire Department personnel to respond to the blaze shortly before 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
LAFD arrived at the location and asked for more resources to help with a 30’×50′ fire with light wind alongside the 210 Freeway.
Firefighters achieved knockdown within 10 minutes of arrival.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
