SANTA CLARITA, Calif., Jan. 21 (KNN) — A car fully engulfed in flames in Santa Clarita overnight was quickly extinguished by responding firefighters.
Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles County firefighters were dispatched just before 2 a.m. Sunday, for a car fire on the side of Sierra Highway, just south of Needham Parkway.
Arriving firefighters quickly attacked the flames engulfing a sedan at the location. The vehicle appeared to be abandoned; no one was found at the scene.
Deputies had the roadway blocked on both sides for traffic until firefighters had searched the vehicle.
