Firefighters Douse Flames in South Los Angeles Single-Family Home

VERMONT SQUARE, LOS ANGELES, June 18 (KNN) – The Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire around 9:11 p.m. Sunday in the Vermont Square neighborhood within South Los Angeles.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a one-story, single-family home with fire showing on the 4300 block of South Van Buren Place.

It took 28 firefighters 16 minutes to access, confine and extinguish the flames in the home, reported the LAFD.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
