Downtown Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA: A large pallet yard burned early Saturday morning, Dec. 10, on the 700 block of South Merchant Street in Downtown Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the 2:51 a.m. reported outside fire and located a large pallet yard burning with surrounding structures not involved in flames.
LAFD reported 70 firefighters were on the scene with knockdown achieved just after 3:30 a.m.
Firefighters remained at the location to eliminate any hot spots among the debris.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
