Firefighters Free Trapped Woman Inside Overturned SUV in Encino

ENCINO, LOS ANGELES, Sept 12 (KNN) — A rollover crash left a female occupant trapped inside a wrecked SUV in Encino overnight.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call regarding an overturned single vehicle at Burbank Boulevard and McLennan Avenue around 12:21 a.m.

Upon arrival, they found a woman trapped inside a vehicle and upgraded the call to a physical rescue. LAFD’s Urban Search & Rescue crews responded to the scene to help peel away the vehicle to loosen the trapped woman.

She was ultimately removed from the SUV and rushed to a local hospital by LAFD paramedics. Her condition was not immediately known. No other injuries were reported.

Burbank Boulevard from Balboa Boulevard to McLennan was closed for an unknown duration.

The cause of the crash is not known at this time.
