Flames Consume Former Deli Location, Roof Collapses During Major Structure Fire in West Los Angeles

WEST LOS ANGELES, Mar. 14 (KNN) — Firefighters battled a major emergency structure fire overnight in West Los Angeles that consumed the former location of Lenny’s Deli.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a structure fire shortly after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on the 2300 block of South Westwood Boulevard.

Arriving firefighters found fire through the roof of a one-story commercial building. At one point during defensive operations, the roof collapsed fueling flames and shattering the front windows, as seen in Key News Network video from the scene.

The LAFD reported that 90 firefighters had extinguished the blaze by 1:50 a.m. Thursday morning. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
