Fleeing Carjacking Suspect Slams Vehicle Into Hydrant, Concrete Wall

INDUSTRY, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, June 19 (KNN) – An alleged carjacking suspect slammed a stolen vehicle into a fire hydrant and wall at high speeds Monday night, trapping the suspect.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department received a call around 9:48 p.m. regarding a carjacking that happened at a Shell gas station on Pellissier Place and the 605 Freeway on-ramp in the City of Industry.

The owner of the vehicle ran inside the gas station leaving the car running, and when the owner came out, the car was gone.

A good Samaritan chased after the stolen vehicle traveling northbound on Pellissier Place with the suspect reaching speeds of over 100 mph.

The suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed head-on into a fire hydrant and small concrete wall at the intersection of Pellissier Place and Workman Mill Road, trapping the suspect inside the vehicle.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived to rescue the trapped suspect who was then transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition by fire department paramedics.
