California Highway Patrol Santa Fe Springs units received 911 calls regarding a black Camaro pulled over on the southbound I-605 Freeway at Washington Boulevard around 12:20 a.m., Jan. 25, with a man on top of a woman, punching her.

When units arrived on scene, the suspect got into the Camaro and fled from officers at speeds of 130 mph.

CHP officers initiated pursuit of the suspect down the 605, however, they lost the vehicle at the 5 Freeway interchange.

CHP units searched the area and located a two-vehicle crash at the Florence Avenue off-ramp (Florence Avenue and Little Lake Road).

The suspect had plowed into a red pickup truck, flipping it over into a traffic light pole and fence.

The victim, a solo female occupant, was able to exit the truck with what appeared to be minor injuries, and was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical assessment.

The suspect was located at scene and arrested by CHP officers. He faces domestic violence, evading, and a range of other charges.
