PALMDALE, Calif., Jan. 25 (KNN) — Two people were injured after a Metrolink train was fired upon by a gunman who is currently outstanding.
Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Palmdale Station responded to the Metrolink Station on 39000 Clock Tower Plaza Drive in Palmdale for a shooting shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Upon arrival, they discovered a male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital for his injuries.
Metrolink AV Line 238 arrived at the Lancaster station shortly after, where a female passenger was complaining of an injury to her head that she sustained from dodging the bullets.
Lancaster deputies along with the Metrolink staff can be seen in the video assessing multiple bullet holes in the passenger car.
The suspect is still on the loose and no further details were released by deputies at the scene.
